Caliber 4130
The Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with the mechanical automatic chronograph movement, Caliber 4130, developed and manufactured by Rolex. The design of this movement has far fewer components than a standard chronograph, thus enhancing the reliability of the movement. Like all Rolex perpetual movements, Caliber 4130 is chronometer certified, passing the tests of the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), awarded only to high-precision watches. This chronograph movement also features a Parachrom hairspring, which exhibits high durability against shocks and temperature changes.

Start, Drive, Stop
The functions of the Daytona chronograph are activated by pushers that are screwed in like a crown when not in use, ensuring water resistance up to 100m. Pressing the start, stop, and reset functions of the chronograph produces a sharp sound, achieved through the latest technology. Rolex watchmakers have also invested the highest technical expertise in the mechanism to ensure the best feel when pressing the pushers and that measurements start instantly and accurately without affecting the watch's precision.
